PUBLIC SCHOOLED has won our 2017 EIFF WEDGIE AWARD for Best Comedy Feature.  Congratulations!

Edmonton Premiere! This hilarious and charming comedy follows a socially inept home schooled dropout who enrolls in public school to chase after his one-legged dream girl. Public school is a place for teenage rebellion but it’s hard to act out when your best friend is also your mom. Starring Judy Greer (ANT-MAN, JURASSIC WORLD) and introducing Daniel Dohney, this witty look at life beyond the home school garage-classroom is rife with Canadian favourites Russell Peters, Grace Park, Andrea Bang and Siobhan Williams.

About the Director:
Kyle Rideout is a director, writer and actor. His feature film directorial debut, EADWEARD, won five audience choice awards and multiple special jury prizes at festivals worldwide. His shorts, HOP THE TWIG and WAIT FOR THE RAIN, won the CBC Short Film Face-off and Best Short at Comic-Con, respectively. Rideout is also an established actor whose recent film/TV credits include iZOMBIE, THE ARRANGEMENT, DEADPOOL, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, WARCRAFT, SUPERNATURAL and BOY IN THE ATTIC. He also voiced characters in MY LITTLE PONY, LEGO NINJAGO, READY JET GO and the Netflix originals BEAT BUGS, DINOTRUX and LEGO ELVES.
