EVERY NIGHT is OPENING NIGHT
EIFF 2013 / VISITOR INFO

WELCOME TO EDMONTON!

Whether you're a long-time resident of our fair city, or just visiting us for a few days, there's lots to see and do. If you have a break between films - and this is particularly true for those of you who are visiting Edmonton for the first time - check out some of the info below...we hope this helps makes your stay with us that much better!

WHERE TO SHOP:

Edmonton CIty Centre is your downtown destination of choice for shopping, dining and enjoying Edmonton's urban centre.

Convenient underground parking, a wide selection of stores and a trendy downtown buzz make Edmonton City Centre Edmonton's premier urban shopping centre. Where to begin? We've got it all mapped out for ya.

WHERE TO STAY:

MATRIX HOTEL | 10640 - 100 Avenue | EDMONTON | Phone: 1-866-465-8150 | E-mail

The MATRIX HOTEL is our Official Hotel and is located just blocks from all the EIFF'n action!  Situated in the heart of downtown Edmonton, Matrix Hotel is conveniently located close to light rail transit, the Legislature buildings and affiliated provincial government buildings, financial and corporate towers, and the most extensive (and glorious) bike and walking path in all of Canada.

Guests attending EIFF receive a reduced room rate and must reserve by PHONE only.

WHERE TO EAT:

EIFF is proud to welcome SUBWAY® as the Official Food Presenter for Lunchbox Shorts! With over 70 locations in the Edmonton area, there's a friendly SUBWAY® restaurant near you!

WHAT TO SEE:

Empire City Centre 9 is downtown Edmonton's premiere movie theatre venue, with 9 newly-renovated auditoriums featuring state of the art sound, picture, and stadium seating.

GETTING AROUND:

If you want to avoid the hassle of parking charges or looking for a place to park in the busy downtown and University areas, the answer is simple: Take ETS! We've partnered with our friends at ETS to help spread the word that the spankin' new LRT extension goes all the way down to Century Park, so now you can park your car any where from the farthest northeast part of the city down to the deep southwest, and hop on the LRT for a quick 15-20 minute ride to either of our main venues. Get off at University station for a short walk to the Garneau, or get off at Bay, Churchill or Central Stations, for easy access to Empire Theatres and Edmonton City Centre!

And if you're STILL looking for something to do (BETWEEN screenings, of course), visit the City of Edmonton's site for lots more great info on dining, shopping, sightseeing, and of course - our World Famous River Valley!
