On the 3rd floor of Edmonton City Centre is a state-of-the-art, movie complex with nine (9) theatres – Landmark Cinemas 9 City Centre. We honestly believe this is one of Edmonton’s hidden gems. The Princess Theatre is a 2-screen arthouse cinema located in Edmonton’s historic Old Strathcona neighborhood. It became Edmonton’s oldest surviving theatre after the demolition of the Gem Theatre in 2006 and is currently operated by Plaza Entertainment. Stepping into the Princess Theatre feels like turning back the clock, to a grander, gentler time. The main level comes complete with a balcony and downstairs in Princess II is a funky space with 100 seats.
