CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS IS NOW CLOSED! 

Thank-you to everyone who submitted films for programming consideration to our 2008 Festival. Now the difficult process of choosing begins, and it doesn’t get any easier year after year.  We will notify all successful filmmakers by August 15th.  Our full festival line-up will be online early September.  Call For Submissions will re-open in November for the 2009 EIFF and we will be accepting films produced after April 1, 2008.

There's a ton of work that goes on all year long to prepare for this festival and we need people to dig in, to lend a hand.  Some of the events coming down the pike include special event fundraisers like the ‘World’s Hottest Commercials’ and a 2-day Casino in 2009.  
 
If you're interested in volunteering with EIFF, please fill out our application form and send it to the attention of our Volunteer Manager.  
 BRING A FILMMAKER TO YOUR SCHOOL.
Each year, EIFF hosts up to 30 filmmaker guests who attend the festival with their film, and they love to talk about the movie-making process!  In order to better serve the many requests for Filmmaker visits, speakers prefer to work in a classroom setting with up to 40 students in grades 7 to 12 and post-secondary institutions.  Applications are accepted year-round.  Successful applicants will be notified by September 1st.

WHY SPONSOR?

Edmonton is a movie town.  We love our films.  All kinds of films.  That fact alone makes this festival appealing to a great number of Edmontonians. The Edmonton Journal reported in July 2006 that "Albertans are the biggest moviegoers in Canada". 

All sponsorship agreements must be finalized by July prior to each annual festival.

One can never have too many friends!  Not interested in a formal sponsorship?  As a not-for-profit, charitable organization your donation to the festival will result in a tax-deductible receipt.  And who ever has enough reasons to keep money from the tax man?
