Opening Night Gala: 'Becoming Redwood' (Canada)

In attendance were Jesse James Miller (Director/Writer), Joely Collins (Co-Producer and Actor), Ryan Grantham (Star), Barbara Grantham (Mom), and Curtis Pickering (Exec. Producer) -- all from our sister City to the West... Vancouver, B.C.

Empire Theatres in Edmonton City Centre was the location for our red carpet, Canadian premiere of the delightful, independent drama BECOMING REDWOOD.   Thank-you TONS to Global Television's Todd James, who hosted a lively Q&A with our filmmaker guests and EIFF audiences for your warm welcome and thoughtful questions.  Also a big shout out to Karmen Meyer and her team for memorable pics -- and for making us look like rockstars.  There was alot of love in the room that night!  Let's keep it goin'.  The love, of course.  BECOMING REDWOOD went on to win our jury choice for CANADIAN FEATURE AWARD!

Closing Night Gala: 'It's A Disaster' (USA)

The quirky comedy IT'S A DISASTER held it's Canadian premiere for our amazing audiences at Empire Theatres in Edmonton City Center. CBC's  Mark Connolly hosted the lively Q&A with our special guests and fabulous audience, thank-you, Mark!  Karmen Meyer and her team once again are responsible for the memorable pics -- and for making us look like rockstars.  A BIG round of applause for Tyler and Todd and their team at Latitude 53 for hosting the exciting after party with musical guests KEMO TREATS! .  IT'S A DISASTER went on to win our PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD.
