Please note that ALL of our festival venues are CASH ONLY at the door. Any ‘Angels’ out there reading this might consider a cash contribution to the fest (we are a charitable organization) so we can invest in a box office system that allows us to take plastic.

Do the Hot August Deal prices include GST?
Yes.  For the month of August, our Reel Deal (all-access) Festival pass in on sale for $70 (regularly $100) and 6-Packs are $45 (regularly $60).

Besides purchasing in-person at EIFF offices, online and by telephone, is there anywhere else I can buy passes?
Yes.  We’ve partnered with Earth’s General Store, TIX on the Square and the Garneau and Princess Theatres (only during theatre hours).

What do I get with the REEL DEAL Pass?
You save a lot of money if you plan on attending several of our screenings.  Skip the box office lines (only up until 15-minutes before showtime – then you gotta stand in the regular admission line-up), see as many films as you want, check out the Galas and Special Presentations. All you have to do is show your badge and you're in (as long as there are still seats of course).  And, they’re fully transferable, so if you can’t go – give it to a friend.

What do I get with the 6-PACK Pass?
You get into six, regular-priced movies (doesn’t include the Galas or Special Events) or two of you can see three, regular-priced movies (single ticket, regular movie price this year is $12) – for just $45!

BUT it's August - why should I buy a pass without knowing what you will be showing?
Take a leap of faith!  Trust us.  But if you wait until we announce the festival line-up, you can't get this amazing offer and then you’ll be wondering why you didn't go for it.

What if I find out later I can't use my Reel Deal or 6-Pack pass?
Unfortunately we can't give you a refund. However, we are sure someone will want to buy it off you...who wouldn't want to be a VIP?

What if I lose my REEL DEAL Pass or 6-PACK?
Sorry, kids. It’s just like a bus pass.  You lose it, you’re hooped.

Does anyone take credit or debit cards at the fest?
Not at festival theatres or other venues.  Sorry.  But we can accept Visa and MasterCard for advance tickets and for festival passes only at the EIFF office and at TIX on the Square.

Can I buy any tickets online?
Yep.  But only the advance tickets, the all-access Reel Deal festival passes and our 6-Packs.

I don’t want to attend the after-party at the Gala films. Can I purchase a lower-priced ticket to attend the film only?
No.  Filmmakers and guests are what make the Gala movies and after-parties so sizzling.  It costs us a lot of money to bring them in.  So even if you only stay for the movies and pass on the parties, you’ll sleep easier knowing your ticket purchase helped with bringing that night’s guest to Edmonton.

When are program guides available?
They’ll be distributed through our exclusive weekly newspaper, SEE Magazine on September 20th.  After that, we’ll have stacks of them at festival venues and at most Edmonton Second Cup locations.
